Content

Game theory is the study of multiperson decision problems. Such problems arise frequently in competitive scenarios where knowledge is distributed, such as in economics.  For instance, oligopolies incorporate multiperson problems: each one must consider what the others will do in order to achieve success in a competitive environment. In this course of game theory for economists we study the elements of game theoretical models in many applied fields within economics, including notions of:

  • Repeated games
  • Non-cooperative and cooperative games
  • Incomplete and complete information games
  • Static and dynamic games
  • Equilibrium
  • Trade models
  • Oligopolies

  • The exam will be on 21.07.2011, 10am-12am in room O23-2619 ("Klinikhörsaal").
  • The course begins on Tuesday, the 12th April at 10am.
  • The exercises begin on Thursday, the 21th April at 2pm.
